My MAC Lipstick Collection

This is such a popular post, and I love reading them, so I thought I'd share with you my own MAC lipstick collection. To some of you I'm aware this may be a very small collection, and to others it may seem excessive, but I'm slowly growing my collection every couple of months. After all, MAC lipsticks are not the cheapest of things! I'll let the photos do the talking in this post since I will be reviewing each lipstick individually in separate posts; you can see my first review of this series here, on MAC's Jubilee. You can probably see I love neutrals!

Next on my MAC lipstick wishlist is a red. If anyone knows the best MAC red for pink-toned pale skin please let me know :)

Primark Prices Online? FashionMadeSimple.

I couldn't count the number of times I've sat at home, online shopping, and WISHED Primark had an Online Website you could order from. Anyone else thought this too? My friend did, and decided to set up a little website, selling essential fashion items for prices just as cheap as Primark; at Fashion Made Simple.  I hope you guys don't mind me writing a post on this, but actually, I think you will love the site!

Currently the site is selling just the basics; underwear, tights, leggings, vest tops and a few shoes and flip-flops. The postage is £2.50 however much you buy. Please take a little look at the site here, and let me know what you think in the comments!

Tumblr Love

Can someone please explain to me how Tumblr is SO incredibly addictive? I can spend hours scrolling through pretty pictures, reblogging to my hearts content! There is definitely a dark side to Tumblr (the super-skinny models, the self-harming-made-glamorous etc.) which is awful, but I think as long as you stay away from those blogs, Tumblr can be a very happy place! Here's what currently at the top of my Tumblr wall!

Comment below with your Tumblr if you have one :)

Favourite Summer Reads

If you know me you'll know I LOVE to read. I also LOVE the sun (I'm a bit like a cat), so for me, perfection is lounging in the sun with a good book. I'm stupidly excited for this summer, when I can begin reading the ten-book-high pile of summery novels I've saved up to read (I know, I'm so sad). I thought I'd share with you my favourites; the ones I've read many many times!

'I Take This Man' by Valerie Frankel (A Little Black Dress Book) // This is such a 'girl-power' book; a girl's mother takes revenge on the man who left her daughter at the alter. It's so gossipy, light and funny.

'Stargirl' by Jerry Spinelli // A book that makes you reconsider a lot of things. It's about a mysterious girl who seems to be able to do whatever she wants.

'What's Left Of Me' by Kat Zhang // This book is set in a world where children are born with two minds; two people inside one body. It's an odd concept at first, but soon I was pulled into the story, which is full of action and emotion.

'Stand By Me' by Sheila O'Flanagan // This is a great 'poolside novel' with the classic love story, which then falls apart. It's wonderfully written and very romantic.

'The Chalet Girl' by Kate Lace (A Little Black Dress Book) // A fun book that follows a girl who works in the chalets at a ski-destination. It's a romantic, easy read.

And my cat obviously loves these books too!

If you have any favourite books for the summer please let me know in the comments as I'm always looking for more to read :)

Recent Empties!

I love reading empties posts. If you've never seen one before, it's a load of mini reviews of products you've recently used up completely. And you know it'll be a reliable review since they've used the whole product! So here's my recent empties...

Origins // Super Spot Remover - I do love this spot treatment a lot- -I've already bought another (teeny!) bottle. However I do think it's quite expensive for how much you get, and I'm currently testing out some less expensive ones.

Soap & Glory // The Righteous Butter - This stuff sinks in SO well; it's so creamy and luxurious. And it has the wonderful Soap & Glory scent, mmmmmm!

The Body Shop // Mango Body Butter - Mango has got to be one of my favourite scents, and I'm so sad to have finished this little miniature pot of gorgeousness!

Arora // Body Scrub - I got this when it was on offer and it worked out to be ridiculously cheap. It wasn't an incredible scrub but it certainly did the job and made my skin nice and smooth.

Toni & Guy // Heat Protection Mist - This was a disappointing product. I don't feel like it protected my hair much at all since I still got just as many split ends and general dryness when using this. Definitely avoid.

Carex // Original Shower Gel - A really foamy and fresh Shower Gel, a very good buy if you're on a budget.

Batiste Dry Shampoo // A hint of colour - I LOVE Batiste, and this one was no exception. It did make my roots a bit blonder too which was great!

Sure Deodorant // Aloe Vera Sensitive - I always trust Sure for a good Deodorant and this little can lasted a reasonable time as well as not being at all irritating. It did leave a few white marks though.

St. Moriz // Instant Self Tanning Mousse - I've gone through several bottles of this self-tan before and can safely say it's the best tan I've ever used, and the cheapest! I apply it with a tanning mitt and it leaves a no-streaks beautiful glow by the next morning.

I hope some of these mini reviews were helpful!

Weekend Wishlist

1. Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac Bag // Around £150. So I've been lusting after this bag for around a year now, and the problem is that they no longer make this bag in the colour that I want. Grr! I'm not sure yet if I'll settle for it in black or turquoise instead...

2. River Island Bralet // £20. I love the structured look to this little crop top, and I'm in love with coral at the moment too, someone gimme this top for summer!

3. Ikea MALM Dressing Table // £95. This is like THE blogger/youtuber dressing table! It's such a good price too, with a sliding drawer that's the perfect size for storing make-up and a clear top.

4. Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers // £20. These are generally considered to be the best eyelash curlers out there, and I desperately need them with my poker straight lashes, wahhh.

5. Soap & Glory Clean On Me // £5.50. I've heard so many good things about this shower gel, and I'm in love with so many other products from Soap & Glory.

6. YSL Rouge Volupte Shine // £24. It's raved about on Youtube, and chances are you've stared longingly at this beauty like I have. The packaging is so gorgeous; if I ever get any, they will be placed on my shelf so I can just look at them! FYI, they're currently on sale with 10% off at Debenhams!

Have a lovely weekend!

NOTD - Pink Polkadots

I felt like something girly was needed today on my nails, so I used MUA's Lush Lilac (only £1!) as a base coat colour, and dotted Rimmel's Nail White Tip Whitener over the top using the end of a kirby grip. It's a bit messy but I think the look is cute :)

Breezy Days, Summer Haze

Breezy Days, Summer Haze

Just a quick outfit idea post today lovelys; hope you're enjoying the sunshine as much as I am! I love the look of sheer blouses as they can look classy but a little flirty as well! Paired with some denim shorts and cute pastel sandals, I think this look would be a perfect lunch date outfit. I'd recommend Monki or Chicnova as good places to buy sheer shirts like this one. And the shoes shown can be found HERE, and the spike necklace HERE :)

Lip and Cheek Duo for Spring/Summer

Ok, so I'm cheating a little bit here as this isn't technically a 'duo' as there's three products, but I couldn't think of a word for 'three things' that sounded right :p I think these products look so beautiful together and make a gorgeous combination for Spring and into Summer too.

I picked up MAC's MSF in 'Gold Deposit' recently and it's (for my lighter skin tone) a combination of a bronzer and highlighter. I can use it on the top of my cheekbones super lightly to give a really authentic sun-kissed look, and I have a feeling this is going to be a staple product once my summer tan starts developing!
This Dainty Doll blush in '004 - You Are My Sunshine' (cute name!) is a peach with a subtle gold shimmer running throughout it and is simply a beautiful colour.
Finally MAC's 'Costa Chic' is a coral lip colour that's just perfect for spring. You can apply it lightly or more intensely and it looks amazing either way.

MAC Prep and Prime for Eyes - Review

Today I want to share with you a disappointing product from my beloved MAC. I'm not normally one for impulse buys when it comes to make-up, especially high end, but I had run out of my Urban Decay Primer Potion and so picked up this MAC Prep+Prime Eyes (£12.50) instead since I was ordering some other MAC bits. Big Mistake.

This product looks innocent enough - in the shade LIGHT it's a nude cream in a cute little pot and would last you ages even using it everyday. However when you spread a little of the product on the eyelid, it immediately begins to crease, and gives an unattractive finish. Even putting only a little on, you still get this problem. Shadows do not last any longer with this as a base, and crease really badly. The only good thing this primer has going for it is the fact that it makes shadows brighter and more vivid. I would use this only for shadows that I'd only want to be wearing for a couple of hours maximum. I'm definitely going to be sticking with my Urban Decay Primer Potion in future! AVOID!

NOTD - Midnight Glitter

Happy Friday! The sun is shining where I am and I had my end of year uni exam this week so I'm feeling like a happy bunny :) Apologies for the slightly messy look of my nails; I was too excitable and moved around too soon after painting them. (Does anyone have as little patience as me??) The polishes I used were Technic's multi-colour glitter polish and Calvin Klein's Tutu.

Enjoy your weekend!

April Favourites!

1. La Roche Possay Effaclar Duo // Yes I gave in to the blogger hype. And I'm so happy I did! My skin is looking less red and my pores look smaller. I haven't had enough time to fully review this product yet, but I'll do a full review soon :)

2.  Brandy Melville Bow Ring // I never used to wear rings  but I love this adorable bow ring . Next on my wishlist are some tiny above-knuckle rings.

3. Tweezerman Mini Slant Tweezers // I didn't realise quite how innefective my old tweezers were till I got this super-cute teeny tiny pair from Tweezerman this month. You can literately get every single pesky hair with these!

4. Technic Nail Polish  // This polish is FULL of multi-coloured glitter and I'm obsessed with putting it over every nail colour I wear.

5. Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Kajal Pencil in 005 Nude // I can't believe this pencil was less that £4. It's the perfect creamy waterproof flesh-toned pencil for the waterline.

6. Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush // Still my favourite brush of all time, I've been using this with my concealer. It's the perfect shape.

7.  MAC Jubilee Lipstick // This month Jubilee from Mac, a browny-nude has become my favourite lip colour! I did a review here.

8. Maybelline Colour Sensational Popstick in Cherry Pop // This is half lipstick half balm so gives a sheer orangey-red tint to the lips!
