REN Invisible Pores Detox Mask

Today I would like to introduce to you a gem of a product that I discovered a couple of months ago. I'm aware I'm rather late on the bandwagon with the REN facemasks! But I still wanted to do a post for anyone who hasn't yet discovered them, since my introduction into REN facemasks has made me see that they deserve all the attention they get.
With my combination skin and stupidly huge pores, I choose the Invisible Pores Detox Mask, which is recommended for combination to oily skin, and claims to "reduce the appearance of pore size and leave the skin purified, smoothed and toned". Well, that all sounds VERY nice! The clay-based product comes in a pump-bottle, making application easy. You apply a layer of the inoffensively-smelling mask all over the face, and wait until it dries. It dries to a darker shade, and you can literally see the oils where they have be pulled out from your pores. It's one of those disguising but somehow satisfying things! (Don't scroll down to the last picture if you're the sensitive type!) The results I get from this are very impressive; smaller pores, and such soft skin that makes applying foundation so much easier.

I would absolutely recommend you this product if you have similar skin to mine, and next on my list to try is the Glycolatctic Radiance Renewal Mask. What was your experience with the Invisible Pores mask? :)

  2. "Spend 15 minutes looking like an idiot" - Yes, I usually take pride in doing so ;) haha.

Great review, this looks really good I'll have to give it a go! The MUD masks are similar to this, they literally pull the oils out the skin too! :)

  3. Wow! I have visible pores around my nose but I'm not really oily, I wonder if there's one for drier skin types because this sounds fab!

  4. I have been wanting to try out REN mask for a while now but hadn't yet decided which one. After you saying that it does help with the appearance of pores I think it has to be this one, I have tried a few pore masks in the past and well...they have done nothing! So excited that this might improve them :)

  8. This mask seems great! I love the Pur Minerals Mineral Mud Mask, which I also did a review on. For some reason, masks that harden seem to be more effective. Eh, that's probably just my craziness talking hahaha :) You are one of the few people who can actually look cute while having a mask on!

    Love your posts!

    1. Hi Emily! If you click on where I first mention the product name in the post it's a link to where you can buy it. It is a more high-end product, but the cheaper end of high-end if you see what I mean! And I think it was worth the money XXX

  12. I haven't tried any of the REN products before, but this looks amazing! Would you use this right before your makeup or just when having a pampering night? I ask because you say it makes it so much easier to apply your foundation and I was wondering.. Anyway, I HAVE to try that! xx

  13. I've never tried a clay mask before but this looks great but my skin is weird - sometimes I have oily areas around my t-zone but then sometimes it's really dry! I find that this sort of thing is so therapeutic though :)
