Effaclar Duo +

Being a big fan of the original Effaclar Duo from La Roche-Posay, I was excited to try the new release - the Effaclar Duo +*. If you haven't heard of Effaclar Duo (have you been living under a rock?) it's a light white cream which can be applied morning and evening before, or in replacement of, your moisturiser. It contains ingredients which help unclog pores, control shine, smooth skin texture, and diminish blemishes. I have problem combination skin, and I've used the original Effaclar Duo for over a year with great results. I find it very soothing, and it helps breakouts clear up much quicker. I also have sensitive skin and haven't had any problems with it. The new + formula has an added ingredient 'Procerad' which targets the pigmentation left behind by acne and blemishes. So now, not only does it help current blemishes, but it helps your skin recover from previous ones too. And boy, does it work! I've been using this little tube of goodness for a month now, and when I would usually have visible dark marks from previous acne, and several active breakouts, my skin is almost clear. For me, this is a lifesaver product.

If you are interested in trying this product, I've just spotted that Escentual (one of my favourite online beauty shops) has up to a third off French Pharmacy brands during March, so the Effaclar Duo + is currently £10.33!

  1. I never really got on well with the first kind and got rid of it, but this sounds pretty good. Its such a good idea for blemishes. More companies should treat previous ones too, like this!

  2. I tried the original and wasn't impressed, I actually got the entire skincare system for it, but not impressed by it. I sounds like this one is better, when it also targets old blemishes :)

  5. I ordered this the other day from Escentual and so far i am loving it! xx

  6. I've been using this for about a month now and I think it's a bit of a miracle worker. Clears up any spots you do get really quickly with minimal scaring and is sorting out my old existing scars x
