Macadamia Volumizing Dry Shampoo // £16.50 *
Sorry for my slight absence the last couple of days - I've just gone back to Uni to spend a couple of weeks with my housemates and friends now that exams are over! You can see what I'm up to over on my instagram. It's busy times like these that dry shampoo is really useful (smooth transition there). I've used the Batiste ones for years now, so I was excited to mix it up a bit with this Volumizing Dry Shampoo from Macadamia. At £16.50 it's far more expensive than the Batiste bottles which you can pick up for around £3.99, so I was expecting quite a lot. The packaging is really pretty, with a good spray nozzle. The product comes out as what I think feels like a liquid as it's a little wet on your hair at first, which I was not expecting. It's meant to absorb excess oil and refresh hair, but also add volume and give texture to the hair. Honestly, the refreshing aspect it doesn't do too well on: After a few hours my hair looked just as greasy as before. However, it does give the hair a good texture to work with for styling and definitely boosts volume. It's more like a hairspray come sea-salt spray than a dry shampoo to me. It's nice, but I'm not wowed.
