Crown Professional Contouring Palette | Review

Until recently, I thought Crown only made brushes. Very good brushes, but just brushes none the less. I don't know quite how I missed it, but they've got a great range of affordable makeup palettes on their website now. The brand new 26 Shade Professional Contouring Palette contains a vast range of neutral powders for various types of 'contouring' (the term is used fairly lightly). The fact that it has a huge 26 different pans means it's a super-versatile palette which can be used for both eyeshadow looks and on the cheeks as blush and bronzer shades. For the cheeks you've got choices from dusky pink, to tan, to plum, and for the eyes you've got a great range of both cool and warm toned browns and taupes to play around with. Some shades are subtle and some give quite a pop of colour (there's a great dupe for MAC's Cranberry in there) but all of them have a nice formula which doesn't crease when applied on top of an eyeshadow primer. The matte black packaging is slim and portable, and looks very professional. I've swatched a few of my favourite shades from the palette for you to see the great pigmentation and colour selection. You can purchase this palette for £19.99 from Crown.
