Clarins Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector Review

I haven't posted since November. I know, that's awful. But the annoying truth is, when you're working full time, planning a wedding and house-hunting, there simply isn't much time left over. However, I do hope to get back in posting on at least a semi-regular basis, and I simply had to end my blogging hiatus when these beauties fell through my letter box.

The new Clarins 'Garden Escape' spring makeup collection is just beautiful (feel free to google it for a nosy at the other products). There's a floral-inspired eye-palette, a blush, lip oils, lipsticks, eye pencils, and the product I'm gushing about today, the Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector. Essentially luxurious lipbalms, these contain rich and nourishing ingredients such as shea, mango and vitimin E, as well as a pretty tint of colour. They also boast a natural peptide which helps to encourage the synthesis of hyaluronic acid, giving lips a fuller appearance without any tingling.

I've got three of the more subtle shades in the range, but there is also a brighter (sheer) red, a darker pink, and a brown-taupe colour. Each of these are perfect for everyday wear and are foolproof to apply. The small bullet size means that they take up practically no space and a small bullet equals no colour outside the lipline. The effect is healthy and full looking lips and hydration with a glossy (but certainly not sticky) sheen. The shade 'My Pink' even reacts with the pH levels in your skin, giving you a bespoke colour - I love how the shade turns out on me.

At £18 each, these don't come in cheap, but as a luxurious treat for everyday wear, I love these little clever lip products.
